It’s wonderful to have you back once again. Thanks for your readership & activity in our broadened community. It’s noticed, and greatly appreciated.

There’s lots going on this week (especially on the weekend) but I wish to shed some light on one particular upcoming event, called “Playing In My Shoes” that I learned of late Monday evening of this past weekend.

Playing In My Shoes in a nationally recognized adaptive event with a core focus around creating & maintaining inclusivity for folks of all abilities who wish to play the game of Disc Golf.

Now, Disc Golf is a ten year addiction (and climbing) of mine & so it’s true… I may be a little biased. But after spending several years in my 20’s volunteering with Canadian Adaptive Snowsports/CADS, a nationally active NPO that teaches folks of all abilities how to ski & snowboard, you can likely see why this event runs near & dear to my heart.

So I’ll leave it with this. If you’ve ever had a desire to try the game or already play & want to see what it’s like to bang chains while dealing with a physical or cognitive limitation, i highly recommend giving this one a huck. It’s a great way to spread some community love & also see firsthand how you could one day assist those of all abilities who’re slowly gathering their courage & making their way out to try something new. And of course, absolutely make their day!

With that being said, if no desire, no issue at all. It’s a great cause but may not be your jam.
